Rafael conducts "Goyescas"

The Boulder Opera Company presented the Spanish opera "Goyescas" by Enrique Granados in collaboration with musicians from the Boulder Philharmonic in three performances during April 2017. Rafael had the pleasure of serving as Music Director and Conductor for this successful production. The opera in one act and three tableaux was written by Granados in 1915, based on his own 1911 piano suite by the same name, whose melodies were inspired by the paintings of famed Spanish artist Francisco Goya.
