April 2015.

The New Jazz Project was invited to host a special concert in honor of International Jazz Day in partnership with UNESCO and the Ministry of Culture at the prestigious Teatro Nacional de Costa Rica. The concert featured performances by local jazz artists such as Swing in 4, Tupac Amarulloa, and German Paniagua, all performing with the NJP Big Band, to a sold-out audience. The New Jazz Project continues to provide a forum for jazz studies in Costa Rica open to all members of the community. Not formally attached to any institution, NJP has been in residence at the Centro Cultural Costarricense-Norteamericano for much of the past decade and continues to provide cultural performances and concerts in the Teatro Eugene O'Neill.
